Forza Horizon 6 brings back the classic Wristband Progression System, but with a fresh, skill-focused twist. Unlike past games where you could hop into hypercars early, Japan’s festival career is strictly gated. You must climb through seven colored wristband tiers—Yellow, Green, Blue, Pink, Orange, Purple, and Gold—to unlock higher car classes and new regions. Reaching the Gold Wristband crowns you a Horizon Legend and gives exclusive access to Legend Island.

Here’s how to max out your wristband career fast with smart, tactical strategies.

      1. Optimize the "Grid Shot" Photo Strategy

The Horizon Promo Photo Mode is an early-game exploit for fast progression.

The Strategy: Before every event, enter Photo Mode right at the start and snap a quick shot of the starting grid.

The Payoff: Each unique vehicle in the frame gives you 10 wristband points. With up to 11 opposing Drivatars, a single photo can net over 100 points instantly.

      2. Lower Drivatar Difficulty for First-Place Bonuses

Unlike older titles where difficulty scaled points, FH6 favors first-place finishes for career progression.

Tip: Reduce Drivatar difficulty to ensure you can win consistently.

Why: First-time event victories grant a huge wristband bonus, often more than podium points from harder races. Clean wins are better than second or third at higher difficulty.

      3. Build Untouched PR Stunt Chains

Japan’s mountain passes are packed with Speed Traps, Drift Zones, and Danger Signs. Linking them efficiently multiplies your points.

How: Choose an agile all-rounder car (B- or A-class JDM classics work well). Run a pass sequentially, chaining stunts without fast-traveling.

Result: Continuous, unbroken stunt chains keep your wristband meter climbing rapidly.

      4. Target Horizon Rush 3-Star Completions

Once you pass a wristband threshold, Horizon Rush courses unlock at locations like:

      Tokyo City Docks

      Sotoyama Ski Resort

      Irokawa Space Center

Strategy: Prioritize 3-star completions over standard races.

Why: Achieving 3 stars gives massive wristband progression. Use time split data to pinpoint areas where you lose speed and shave seconds off.

      5. Leverage "Horizon Play" Crossover Levels

If a single-player race feels impossible, switch to the Horizon Play multiplayer hub.

Tip: Play online modes like Custom Drifting or Horizon Racing.

Benefit: Leveling your Horizon Play rank up to Level 25 rewards substantial campaign Festival Points, contributing to your wristband meter. It’s a stress-free way to bypass tough solo races.

      6. Clear Out the Discover Japan Stamps

Don’t ignore the Collection Journal side content.

How: Photograph landmarks, defeat roaming AI in Touge Battles, and complete narrative Horizon Stories.

Effect: Each completed task generates a constant stream of points, steadily filling your wristband bar while you explore Japan.
