Celeste's "A Symbol of Unification" is one of those quests that feels small on paper, but it lands when you're actually out there. She's asking you to carry a battered flag into the Dam Battlegrounds and plant it like a promise: you're not the only one still breathing. If you're the kind of player who likes to keep runs low-risk, it's also a neat excuse to go in light, maybe stock up on ARC Raiders Coins for future loadouts, and get out with something to show for it.
This is a mobility job. You'll be climbing, cutting corners, and taking awkward paths where heavy armor just feels like a mistake. Light or Medium is plenty, especially if you're solo and you'd rather slip past trouble than win a loud fight. I like an SMG or a basic AR—nothing precious, nothing fancy. Bring 2 or 3 Adrenaline Shots because the uphill sprints can chew through your stamina at the worst time. Toss in a couple of Medkits, and a single Lure Grenade if you want a clean disengage when something wanders too close.
Once you drop into the Dam Battlegrounds, pull the map and aim for the lower-right area. You're hunting the Formicai Outpost: a rocky rise with that rusted cylindrical tower sitting above the Scrap Yard. If you spawn by Wreckage, expect a longer walk. Don't force a straight line—there isn't one. Follow the bends in the trails, stay low along the base of the hill, and only crest ridges when you've checked the noise. Players sometimes farm nearby, so don't assume every footstep is ARC. But if you hear patrol audio, slow down and crouch it out.
At the outpost, look for the darker corridor on the south side and go inside. The easy-to-miss bit happens fast: glance right as you enter. There's a medical bed, and on it you'll spot a backpack with a warm yellow glow. That's the Raider Flag pickup—grab it, then move into the main tower. Head out to the balcony that looks over Red Lake, find the lonely pole, interact, and let the animation play. Don't start rummaging through every corner after that; you're done, and you've just painted a target on your route.
From the balcony, the Red Lakes Balcony lift extraction is close—northeast, basically a short push if you don't hesitate. The reward isn't just fluff either: you're walking away with the "Dusted Cream" Aviator Outfit plus useful crafting bits like Mod Components and Duct Tape. If you want to keep runs consistent, it helps to treat this quest like a routine circuit—drop, grab, plant, extract—then use a shop like RSVSR when you'd rather top up game currency or pick up items fast instead of gambling your whole stash on one messy raid.
